An obscure platformer for the Amiga. Players control peter on his quest through 20 levels in which he much collect hearts to save his girlfriend Daphne.
Originally designed for the Sega Genesis, then the 32x, and finally the Saturn, Sonic X-treme was meant to be the first fully realized 3D Sonic title. It was eventually cancelled in 1997 after spending a year in development hell.
The game involves Sonic the Hedgehog and Christopher Thorndyke attempting to rescue their friends (Tails, Amy and Knuckles) from Dr. Eggman. The game has three levels (Station Square, Angel Island and Eggman's base), as well as three minigames.
