On the occasion of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the release of the first comic book, Titeuf’s fans have seen a full-length animated film (Titeuf: Le Film, 2011). The production was accompanied by a video game developed by the Polish-French company Tate Multimedia, known for such titles as Lucky Luke: Go West! and Asterix & Obelix: Mision WiFix.
Titeuf: Le Film is a collection of 10 fun mini-games inspired by cinematic images. As the title character, the player can try their hand at competitions such as rodeo with mammoth, shooting aliens or face recognition in inkjet blotches.
Individual challenges vary in character and require slightly different skills (e.g. sense of rhythm, perceptiveness, reflex). The player can also adjust the difficulty level to their own preferences by selecting one of the three available setting options. For the lovers of multi-player games there is an option to play with the participation of the second participant.
In terms of audiovisual setting, the game draws many elements directly from the film’s prototype. The creators of Titeuf: Le Film decided on a two-dimensional graphic design in cartoon style and a large number of humorous animations. Cartoon fans should also easily recognize well-known places and heroes.
