## About This Game
The Cyclist: Tactics is a turn-based pro-cycling tactics and strategy game in
which you lead a small team of riders from humble beginnings to topping the
podium of a grand tour.
## The Game World
Race in a fictional world through a range of procedurally generated tours and
classics, each individually themed to ensure that every session is unique and
different. Featuring changeable weather, an original, multi-layered soundtrack
that adjusts to the current race situation, and a board-game-like aesthetic,
The Cyclist: Tactics provides an engaging visual and audio experience as you
put your tactical skills to the test.
## Race Tactics & Resource Management
Guide a team of up to four riders through multi-day tours and grueling
classics. Use your riders’ strengths to your advantage while utilizing team
strategy to offset their weaknesses. Slipstream and positioning are vitally
important, as is the varied terrain with flats, hills, mountains, tricky
technical, and cobble sections that influence rider performance. There is no
dice rolling in The Cyclist: Tactics to either save you or screw you over; you
have just your decision making to blame.

Riding along, laying down a good pace to catch escapees, attacking, performing
lead-outs, hanging on to the back of the peloton for dear life, and
participating in sprints all require careful planning as you attempt to manage
your riders’ limited resources. But be careful not to wear them out before the
big mountain stage the following day!
## Career & Team Management
Start your career in the amateur league with just yourself as a young cyclist
and a local sponsor to secure a few more no-names on the team roster. Manage
your team’s race participation and team finances, plan rider fitness peaks,
scout for young talent, hire and fire riders, and please your sponsors with
good race results to eventually compete for the top spot in the pro league.
The manager aspect is simple but strategically deep. With a maximum roster of
six riders and nine races to pick per season, it doesn’t take long to get your
team lined up and ready to go.
## Progression & RPG Mechanics
Riders level up as they gain experience through race participation and posting
good results. Choose between six different specializations and five rider
stats that can be mixed or focused on, allowing you to tune each rider with
significant strengths and weaknesses to fill the niche your team needs.
