Pinball FX 2: Plants vs. Zombies
_Plants vs. Zombies_ is a DLC pinball table for Pinball FX2 (Xbox 360, Xbox
One, Windows), Zen Pinball 2 (PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Mac), and Zen Pinball
(HD) (iOS and Android). The PS3 and PS Vita version is a Cross-Buy. The PS3
version can be transferred to the PS4 version for free. It is based on
Popcap’s Plants vs. Zombies series. The player sides with the plants defending
the garden against invading zombies. The game retains the concept of waves
from the original tower defense game. By defeating zombies in various missions
coins are earned that can be spent at Dave’s Twiddy Dinkies for items that
boost the score or provide bonuses.
The table has two regular flippers at the bottom, one at the top left, and one
at the top right at a higher area. Access to the outlanes at the end of a ramp
happens through a pool and a mailbox. A sunflower can be waken up to gather
sun icons as a resource spent on various seed packets found through a flower
pot on the left. The top right flipper is the only access to the Melon-Putt
that can rain down melons on zombies. These zombies appear as 3D animated
characters on the table. There is also a car that can be hit to open its trunk
and lock the ball inside. After three locked balls multiball is activated.
When all four main missions are completed, Dr. Zomboss at the back of the
table is woken up. He spits huge balls of snow or fire defeating by selecting
the appropriate ball through the flower pot.
