Narcos: Cartel Wars is an AND and iOS-based mobile strategy based on the serial license. NarcosThe system is designed with Netflix in mind. The game uses a free model with micropayments and was produced by FTX Games studio.
### Story
The action takes place in Colombia at the end of the 1970s. Players embody the boss of a small drug cartel and have to turn it into a real criminal empire. At first we work under the watchful eye of the patron, and when we gain some experience, we gain full control over our future. During the fun we have the opportunity to meet many characters known from the TV series, which can be a big attraction for the fans of the original.
### Mechanics
The fictional idea was realized here in a form quite typical for strategic games designed for mobile devices. While playing in Narcos: Cartel Wars So we deal with the expansion of the base, where we have to construct new facilities, manage the business and improve the technology. All this is, of course, to be directed towards the production of drugs, so we carry out research into new formulas and organise production and transport. It is also necessary to erect defence structures.
At the same time, we must train the death squads that allow us to seize rivals’ territories. The battles are fought in real time and their outcome is often determined by the employment of so-called sicarios, i.e. paid killers who play a role similar to that of heroes in traditional strategies. We use all this in clashes with artificial intelligence or other players. There were also options to make alliances with other users.
### Technical issues
Narcos: Cartel Wars offers a nice three-dimensional graphic design, maintained in full of bright colors, cartoon style. It doesn’t look realistic, but thanks to that it alleviates the seriousness of the subject matter.
