Summary
Majestic
## Description
Majestic is an espionage thriller which must be downloaded over the
Internet, casting you as the central figure in a government conspiracy. It is
up to you to find clues and find out the truth.
The game is not a program in itself. It has no special effects, no
multiplayer, nothing you’d expect in a usual game. Instead, it uses e-mail,
telephone, fax, and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) to contact you. You might
receive a phone call at 3:00 AM about a contact. The game also gives you clues
over the ‘Net via video, audio, and websites designed specifically for the
game.

| Game Analysis | Majestic is one of the first alternate reality games (ARGs), a type of game that blurs the line between in-game and out-of-game experiences. It debuted on July 31, 2001. While noted for its unusual concept, it did not fare well commercially. | |
