Family Feud is, of course, a computer version of a very popular TV program, known in Poland as “Familiada”. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first attempt to prepare an electronic version of this teletournament. Other titles with the “Family Feud” logo were released in the past, e.g. in the 80s and around the year 2000. This time we are dealing with a product prepared by Ingram Entertainment studio. The publisher is Global Star Software. Interestingly, this is not the first attempt to appear on the television programme market. Global Star Software has also released Deal or No Deal. Family Feud appeared on three hardware platforms – personal computers, PS2 and Gameboy Advance. For obvious reasons, the latter offers very simplified graphics. Differences also apply to multiplayer. All three versions offer fun for two players. When editing on PC and PS2, you can play on a shared screen or on the Web. The GBA version of the game will turn off the gameplay using a cable connecting both handhelds.
The manufacturer of course took care of many different versions of the teletournament. Depending on the selected mode of play, we can try to collect 300 points, or we can complete a number of rounds specified by the game. There were, of course, clashes of team representatives, allowing to determine which team will be the first to answer the questions asked by the leader. In turn there are around a thousand of these. In addition, a separate mode has been prepared, focusing exclusively on learning about these questions. As part of the curiosity, it is worth adding that you can play in several different varieties of television studio. This does not affect the game itself, of course, but it allows you to get acquainted with the history of the teletournament. In the case of playing alone, one should of course face artificial intelligence, which unfortunately has not been very well developed. The computer tries to cheat or misreply answers even the simplest questions.
