Factions (Empires UDK)

Factions is a strategic multiplayer first-person shooter. It combines the fast-paced action of modern shooters with strategic elements like commanding, technology trees, base building, and vehicle customization. Each team is led by a commander who is responsible for placing structures around the map. Each structure contributes a capability to the team such as vehicle creation, resource extraction, or research. Players on a team can customize and build their own vehicles using technology researched by the commander. Teamwork and tactics play an important role in Factions. Players can form squads which provide the tools to coordinate attacks and rally defences. The commander is responsible for the overall strategy of the team, and manages the battle from a top-down overhead view. The primary objective is to destroy the opposing team’s command vehicle. Whether this is done through a steady assault, rushing attacks, flanking maneuvers, or other strategies, is up to the team.
