Daydreaming in the Oval Office
Mr Bush, president of the United States of America, is daydreaming in his Oval
Office. The player needs to help him collect imaginary pieces of evidence
about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq by bouncing a beach ball towards the
pieces. The game is shown from a fixed, non-scrolling side view and Mr Bush
can move left and right, and jump to get the ball in the air. Extra points are
awarded for collecting a piece while bouncing against the wall or the ceiling.
The player starts with 5 lives and each time the ball hits the floor, a life
is lost.
The game’s theme is a jab at the US administration’s motivation to start the
Iraq War in 2003, for which the rationale was the presence of weapons of mass
destruction, while no evidence was found after the invasion.
