Basketball Pro Management 2012 is a managerial sports game in which we can try our hand as a manager and coach of a professional basketball team at the same time. The game was originally created with the efforts of one man, Victor da Costa, but during the work on the binding and database, the development team grew to the size of a fully-fledged studio, called Umix.
In the game we can take part in 20 types of games of the most important European basketball leagues. Due to the lack of licenses, club names and the names of the most important players have been changed, which makes it somewhat more difficult to search the database. Luckily, there is also a functional editor available in the game, which allows you to modify the data and parameters of athletes.
As in the majority of popular football managers, our duties include a number of activities related to both the purely sporting and financial activities of the club. The game requires us to determine the composition and tactics of our team, take care of the club’s financial background and look for young talents and carry out transfers. As a manager, we set goals that our team should achieve in a given period of time, taking into account the abilities of our mentee and the fact that all decisions made may have an impact on the future course of our career. The game was designed to satisfy both newcomers and veterans of this type of games.
For the debut independent production, Basketball Pro Management 2012 impresses with a wealth of tactical and managerial capabilities. We must take care of the medical and training staff, employing doctors, physiotherapists, medical assistants, scouts or trainer assistants. During contract negotiations we can offer our players special bonuses, such as luxury cars and apartments, exclusive bonuses or appropriate status in the team. We also take care of the material background of the club, including showers and lockers for players, telebims or chairs in the stands, and even the sale of gadgets for fans.
In terms of binding Basketball Pro Management 2012 is at an average, slightly strict level, although the game interface itself has been implemented in a clear and intuitive way. The match events are shown in a simple top view, reminiscent of earlier versions of the Football Manager series.
