## Description
_Scene It?: 007 Edition_ is one of a series of games in the _Scene It?_
series. This version of the game features questions based on the James Bond
movies. The game instructions are voiced by John Cleese who played ‘Q’ in the
later movies.
The game can be played on a board or in ‘party play’ mode and also has bonus
activities.
This is a boxed game which is played on the standard Scene It? ‘flex-time’
game board so-called because of its novel feature, when there’s not enough
time/interest to play a full game it can be folded, thus reducing it’s size so
that a short game can be played. The player(s) must travel round the board to
the ‘Final Cut’ area where they must answer an ‘All Play To Win’ challenge. If
they are successful they win the game, if not they move to the outer Final Cut
circle and must successfully answer three DVD challenge questions to win.
The box contains a folding game board, four metal tokens; James Bond, a vodka
martini glass, a Bond car and a Bond Girl.
The game is played with two dice, a six sided die that determines how far the
player moves and an eight sided die which determines the challenge the player
will face. After the player has rolled both dice and moved their token they
may have to complete a challenge, if successful they take another turn and
continue to do so until they make an error or the category die shows a Q – see
below. Players move before they attempt a challenge and if they are on an 007
space they move twice the number rolled, The challenges the player will face
in their travels are determined by the eight sided die, they are;
* ‘My Play’: this is a DVD challenge in which a scene is viewed a question is asked.
* ‘All Play’: this is a DVD challenge in which a scene is any player can answer. If two player’s answer simultaneously then there is a DVD Tie Breaker option. There are two All Play symbols on the challenge die.
* ‘Q Card’: If the category die shows a ‘Q’ the player selects a Q Card from the pack, follows the instructions and their turn ends.
* ‘Trivia Challenge’: Here another player draws a Trivia Challenge card and reads the question. There are three categories of trivia question ”Basic Bond’, ‘Beyond Bond’, and ‘Brilliant Bond’ each represented by a distinct symbol on the category die, each card has one question from each category on one side with the answers on the reverse.
* ‘Players Choice’: here the player selects a trivia card or DVD category of their choice.
Other game options;
* Expert play: In this mode the player rolls the dice but does not move until after they have completed a challenge
* Pre-set Games: these games minimise the chance that a question will be repeated during a game
* Party Play: This mode presents a series of questions for a large group to play shouting out the answers, the board is not used
* Solitaire: The instructions refer to this as a solo game designed to be used on a laptop, in reality it is Party Play played by a single player.
