Takedown!
Takedown is set 20 years after the happenings in Defense Matrix. Earth was
save, the Matrix was taken offline and the area became a forest. Unfortunately
more robots attack and once again it is the player’s responsibility to save
Earth.
This a tower defense game. On one side of the screen, a robot army enters the
screen in waves and the player needs to destroy them before they reach the
goal. This is accomplished by building the four tower types along the way: gun
tower (shoots at the robots), laser tower (shoots lasers), stomper (has a long
cooldown period, but destroys a large number of enemies at once) and stasis
tower (slows enemies down). Except the stomper, the towers can also be
upgraded. All those building activities cost money which is earned by killing
enemies. Health decreases when robots leave the screen and the level is lost,
when all health is gone.
The standard view is top-down, but the camera can be zoomed into a third-
dimensional view (building is restricted to the top-down view)
