## Description
_Ultraviolet_ is an action game played on a grid board. The players (either
two or four) are restricted to up and down movements on opposing sides of the
board. Each player emits a straight light beam which is used to collect the
gems which float around the board (by catching them and tapping a button to
pull it). Collecting gems gives points and, more importantly, fill up the
health meter which constantly drops over time. When both players battle for
the same gem, a button mashing competition decides the winner. The goal is to
outlive the opponent.
Besides gems of different sizes (and health worth), there are two special
gems: bombs (can be used to clear the own half of the board) and anti-gravity
gems (tilts the board towards the opponent). The latter are important because
all gems which fall off the player’s side have negative consequences on the
health. Another important aspect is the combo meter which fills when the
player collects gems without losing health: a higher combo means faster
collection speed. Those points can also be used to crush gems which then emit
movement energy on nearby gems. New gems only enter board when the whole
current wave is gone.
