The Whipper is a Single Player game

An upcoming 2D action platformer where you play a whipper warrior and will stop an evil cult from taking over the world. In their quest for domination, they kidnap your son to sacrifice his soul so they can summon a powerful creature known as Yaga. The game is a spiritual successor to Super Castlevania IV. Many of the mechanics like the 8 directional whipping and the continuous whip attack make a return. Some mechanics are the same, while others have been changed and enhanced. Additionally, you can sprint like in Symphony of the Night and shoot projectiles from your whip like in the GameBoy Castlevanias. Development of this game began on December 30th 2018. The end goal is to have a worthy “Supervania” successor. The game was made in 1991, it’s mechanics were never replicated in any other game in the series, there was no remake and no indie game like it either. It’s time this changed. The end goal is to have the game on Steam, GoG and hopefully Nintendo Switch.
