The Time Machine – Trapped in time
By successfully creating a time machine, Professor George Einwin managed to
interfere with history and create a chaotic and hopeless future. Filled with
remorse for his irresponsible acts, he commits suicide, leaving to his
assistant Filby Young the task of traveling through time to correct all the
paradoxes and save humankind.
Time Machine: Trapped in Time is a straightforward hidden object game using
one of the major science fiction conventions, time travel, as the main theme.
Most of the time, the objective is to find and click on all the items listed
at the bottom of the screen, on locations depicting different time periods
filled with objects scattered through the scenery. Each location has a special
gem, that must be collected and placed on the time machine on a slot of
matching color, to start the device and teleport the protagonist to another
era.
The interface has four icons, a power button to access the main menu, a
magnifier to enlarge the screen with a zoom view and make the search for small
objects easier, a phone button with help screens explaining details about the
interface, and a chronometer as the hint button, showing the position of one
of the required items when activated but taking some time to recharge after
use. The game language can be set to English, French, Spanish, German and
Italian.
