### The Outcome is a playable simulation that deals with the global situation today and it’s development into the near future.

You take control of some organizational structure, usually a nation-state. You steer the development of the said entity through choices made as the time progresses. What matters most is how you decide to play it – your strategic thinking is the key here. You learn to achieve desired outcomes by getting to know the game systems and dynamics of the in-game entities, often by replaying certain scenarios a number of times.
The difference between The Outcome and most of the other games dealing with similar subjects is in it’s flexibility and scope. The Outcome is not only meant to simulate nation-states, but also any other types of organizational structures, such as international corporations.
The Outcome also focuses heavily on building a proper atmosphere through elaborate storytelling, as well as through elegant use of music and visual art.

Besides being a cool and engaging game, The Outcome is meant to become a collaborative project for serious uses — **education** and **future studies**.
The modular design allows people to build and run their own modifications on top of already crafted simulation architectures. This, together with the Game aspect of the project, allows for creation of immersive educational environments, if done properly.
If executed properly, it could have some amount of success amplifying discussions on important questions regarding the future development of human civilization.
While the specific implementation of the project as it is today3 may not be suitable for use in most serious simulations for direct use in future studies, the collaboratively built simulation model could be. If built properly, this model could be reused with other implementations (for example one that is faster, or doesn’t feature the Game aspect, or features advanced decisioning system for the simulated entities, etc.).
The Outcome is designed to be able to simulate natural systems, and the dynamics between human systems and their immediate environment.
