## Description
_The Mail On Sunday: Interactive Christmas Quiz_ is a DVD that was given away
with a UK newspaper in 2007, it can be played as a single player game or by up
to four players/teams.
Players select an avatar at the start of the game, there are six to choose
from the Christmas Fairy, Santa, a Penguin, a snowman, Rudolf the reindeer or
the carol singer. Throughout the game they are referred to by these avatars so
the unnamed voice will say “Christmas Fairy you’re up next”, “Penguin it’s
your bonus round”, “Carol Singer you scored eleven points in that round, well
done” and so-on.
The quiz consists of five themed rounds Television, Food & Drink, Film, Pot
Luck, and Music. Each round has seven questions and the players / teams take
it in turn answering the questions using the DVD remote to select their
answer. The selected answer is NOT shown on the screen as the DVD remote is
then passed to the next player/team so that they can also select an answer. At
the end of the round the game shows the teams’ scores and gives the option of
showing the correct answers to each question. After the end of round two and
throughout the game from that point the cumulative points are also shown.
The game has a ‘Bonus Christmas Round’ which appears once for each player at
some random point in the game. In a single player game the question will be a
‘Name That Christmas Tune’ in five seconds while in a multiplayer game the
question could be musical or it could be a charade. While each normal question
is worth one point a bonus question scores five points.
The game has in-game instructions which are voiced by an unnamed actor.
