**Shadow Star** is a Science Fiction Role Playing Game that casts you as the Commander aboard a starship exploring the galaxy during an interstellar war between four great empires. Played in a 1st person perspective, Shadow Star focuses on rich character interaction, emergent gameplay, the ship’s engineering, and narrative quests as seen from the decks of your vessel. The game allows the player to build their own fleets, manage officers and crews, and explore procedural star systems full of NPCs similar to if Skyrim or Knights of the Old Republic met FTL.
If you’ve played Fallout or Skyrim, imagine if the worldmap was in space, and every building was a starship. Now add a little bit of PBS’s Nova, and take the science & engineering lessons of StarTalk Radio, mixed in with the character drama and action of Battlestar Galactica or Firefly. That’s **Shadow Star**.
