Rumble Box
Rumble Box is an indie beat-em-up where all of the characters are made of
basic geometric objects, like cubes and spheres. When defeated, the enemies
break apart and pile up in the arena. The goal is to escape the arena by
piling up enough enemies to fill the room with parts.
The enemies range from harmless Fodder to powerful Thugs, agile Ninjas, and
the monkey-like Wildmen. Some enemies also have bombs in place of their heads,
which explode shortly after the enemy is defeated. Luckily the player has a
wide variety of martial arts moves available to him, from the simple punch to
the group-clearing spin throw.
Performing well in any level will unlock one of nine bonus stages with
alternate gameplay goals, such as avoiding a steady rain of bombs or surviving
an onslaught of enemies in complete darkness.
