## Description
_Pub Quiz: Hosted By Vince Earl_ is a DVD quiz game containing twelve games
each with twelve trivia rounds, five questions per round. It was developed and
marketed to raise money for _The Golden Golf Charitable Trust_ , a charitable
organisation that helps disadvantaged children. The game is intended for two
or more players but there is a single player mode and this is limited to the
first six games. In keeping with a live pub quiz the host, Vince Earl cracks
jokes and delivers the questions in such a way as to help create a convivial,
pub-like atmosphere.
There is a score sheet on the DVD in .pdf format which can be printed out as
answering and scoring is done manually, there are printable ‘Joker cards’ (see
below). The game starts with the player(s) selecting how many players are
taking part, then the player(s) name their teams.
Each round has five questions, these are a video question, an audio question,
an image question, a multiple choice question and a ‘Q & A’. Each correct
question scores one point unless the team has played their ‘Joker card’ on
that question in which case they could score two points. After six rounds the
game pauses, answers are revealed, mid point scores are totalled, drinks are
replenished etc and then it resumes with the final six rounds. Each round is
based on a specific topic, the topics for all twelve rounds are;
* Round 1: General Knowledge
* Round 2: Sport
* Round 3: Television
* Round 4: Geography
* Round 5: Celebrity
* Round 6: Music
* Round 7: History
* Round 8: Maths
* Round 9: Languages
* Round 10: Science Nature
* Round 11: Film
* Round 12: Art & Literature
At the end of the quiz the team with the highest score wins and there are tie
break questions should teams finish on the same score, the answers to all tie
break questions are numbers.
Also on the DVD are interviews with Vince Earl and a couple of outtakes, these
are all on the ‘EXTRAS’ menu
