## **Point of Departure** is a **2-D action sidescroller** with a focus on **randomized gameplay** , **environmental manipulation/destruction** , and **plenty of upgrades**.

Players take control of **Messenger 1** (the Envoy) and **Security-Bot** (the Escort), a pair of robot diplomats on a mission gone horribly wrong to meet and research an alien life form.
The team crashes their ship noticeably off-course on planet **Hypereus** , leaving them heavily damaged, confused, and in desperate need of energy.
Players must make their way to the alien world’s city using any means necessary in order to discover the mystery of the alien species and find a way off the planet.
