## Description
_Phlinx_ is a _Bust-A-Move_ variant with an Egyptian theme. The player
controls the sun disk at the bottom of the screen and must shoot colored
stones at the field of stones that is descending gradually from the top. The
goal is to hit stones of the same color as the one in the sun disk. When hit,
groups of three or more identical stones are removed from the screen. The game
is divided into four rounds, each with two phases. Advancing to the second
phase requires not only making matches, but collecting stones as well. Once a
group disappears, any stones that remain disconnected from the main field,
drop down to the ramp. Every round requires a specific number of such stones
before moving on to the next phase. Finally, to end the round, the player
needs to free a glyph surrounded by a new set of pieces. The player can win
the game by capturing all four glyphs. It’s game over if the playing field
reaches the sun disk, however it moves down only after a number of shots are
made. In other words, the game is not time-based.
The sun disk can be placed on three different platforms at the bottom of the
screen, if the player finds it hard to line up a shot. At the same time, the
side columns can be used to place an indirect shot, since they can deflect the
projectile. Like most Pogo.com games, _Phlinx_ has three modes of difficulty,
and Pogo Club members can play using five types of power-ups, called Power
Stones.
