P.J. Pride: Pet Detective
Polly Pride is the owner of an animal shelter, where she starts to receive
clients that lost their pets. The recent opening of a cosmetic factory nearby
arouses her suspicions while she proceeds to investigate the whereabouts of
the missing animals.
P. J. Pride: Pet Detective is a hidden object game where, most of the time,
the objective is to find and click on all the items from a list at the right
side of the screen on locations cluttered with assorted objects, within a time
limit. Besides the list items, sometimes one of the missing pets appears on
the scenery, walking across the screen or poking its head out of a hiding
place. The player must wait and click on the animal when it shows up, to
rescue and reunite it with its owner. The player can select a relaxed mode at
the start that has no timer.
A jigsaw puzzle and a concentration game appear between investigations, where
the player has to reassemble a shredded poster and match pairs of photographs
of the animals. A number of hints are available at the start of each
investigation, showing the exact position of one of the required objects.
