A JRPG that is heavily inspired by Golden sun for the GBA. Mystic Tales is a turn based JRPG about a hero named Omayati and his team of allies known as the Janovins. Players will embark on a journey following the story of the Janovins while going on an elusive search for the magical Janovi gems, engage in monumental boss battles, solving riddles and puzzles, and unlocking Janovin transformations.
The Janovi Gem, so magical and mystical. Nobody really knows how it came to be, but people have been going to war for control over its power since the dawn of time. 152 years ago, Pharaoh Julius and his Order of Darkness almost seized control of the Gem. Victory was within his grasp when a small band led by Omayati was able to infiltrate his facility where he was studying the gem. Using an ancient ritual, Omayati attempted to tap into the fathomless powers of the Janovi Gem in order to defeat the Pharaoh. Unfortunately, Omayati was unable to control such power and the Janovi Gem exploded, shattering itself into countless pieces scattered throughout the Ga-Ley Galaxy. It was a debilitating defeat for Pharaoh Julius, as his power and control vanished almost as quickly as the Janovi Gem itself. Long has he waited, biding his time in the deep, cold black depths of space, plotting his revenge, vowing that one day he would rise again to cover the Galaxy in a shroud of darkness.
