## Description
_Music Hosted By Martin Kemp_ is an interactive quiz game featuring Martin
Kemp former bassist with _Spandau Ballet_ and successful actor. It has twelve
separate games each with seven rounds, when played as a single player game
only the first six rounds are available ‘to stop anyone memorising all the
answers’.
The game is set in an American diner with each option on the main menu taking
the player to a different section, for example the game selection screen is
the diner’s jukebox.
The rounds in the game are:
* Round 1: Popwatch. The game shows a video clip and asks a related question. All questions are shown on the screen while the clip is played and when the clip ends Martin Kemp reads the question for the player.
* Round 2: What’s That Tune? This is a single question ‘Beat the iItro’ type of round where the player(s) score one point for naming the song and another for naming the artist.
* Round 3: Logical Order. There are two questions in this round in which the player is shown three pictures and is asked a question, they must place the pictures in the correct order. A typical question would show pictures of three singers and ask in what order they started their music careers, or put three artists in order of age – Martin Kemp names the people in the pictures in case the player(s) cannot identify them.
* Round 4: Name the Singer or Band. Another two question round in which the players are shown pixellated pictures and must identify the artist(s).
* Round 5: Multiple Choice. This round consists of ten questions each with four potential answers, typical questions would be ‘X was a guitarist with which band?’ or ‘Which city appears in the song Put Your Hands Up for …?’
* Round 6: Pop the Question. Ten questions in this round too but there’s no multiple choice answers to choose from.
* Round 7: Think the Link. Two questions in which the game shows two pictures which have to be decoded to reveal a song title, the players also have to name the artist or band.
After the final round the player(s) have to swap score sheets and mark each
other’s answers as Martin Kemp reveals them an, just in case the game ends in
a tie. each game has a tie-break question.
Some rounds will be declared to be ‘Negative Scoring’ which means that one
point is deducted for each wrong answer, likewise some rounds may be declared
‘Double Scoring’, when these pop up they apply to just one team for one round.
At the end of each round the player(s) are given the chance to either continue
or play the round again.
Though the game is hosted by Martin Kemp he is present in voice over only and
does not actually appear on screen. Players need to keep their own score and
there is a score sheet on the DVD which can be printed off via a computer,
instructions on where to find it are in the Extras menu which also contains an
interview with Martin Kemp and details of the Golden Golf Charitable Trust
which received a portion of the revenue from the sale of the game.
