Traveling from one city to another requires traversing throughout the world map which is plagued by criminals, it would be unwise for the player to carry around much gold or drugs due to the risk of being mugged. In order to defend yourself in such events you can equip various weapons and armor to make yourself more resilient against highwaymen. A wise starting choice would be to use the king's bank to store some of your spare gold as an insurance against robberies. you start empty handed In both game modes (quest and sandbox) . In quest mode you earn gold by completing quests which will bring you closer to the goal of establishing your own medieval pharmaceutical empire. Furthermore the quest mode does not limit you from buying and selling drugs, at any point in the game the player can put a quest on hold and try his luck with buying and selling drugs. The non quest approach lets you explore the world of medieval kingpin without the need to complete quests , the entire map is accessible from the start of the game!
