Mad Cars
Mad Cars is a top-down racing in a post-apocalyptic setting. WW III has
turned the earth into a wasteland. Racers seek fame & fortune by taking part
in the Mad Cars competitions organized by the arms & parts dealer Marlok.
Each tournament consists of a series of standard races in which you need to
collect enough money to be able to compete in the Arena of Death (a
destruction derby in which you have to kill 3 opponents to win). Money won
during races can also be used to buy a new car or to upgrade your old one with
armor, land mines, a rocket launcher, better tires etc. After you’ve won a
tournament a new one is unlocked, which adds a new car and a new track. Then
you start all over again.
Mad Cars has arcade-like physics and simple controls. It’s sort of a clone
of Apogee’s Death Rally. Offers split-screen & TCP/IP multiplayer.
