## Description
_Kick’n’Rush 2006_ is football game for one or two player, shareware, soccer
game that boasts one hundred and twenty teams and over two thousand players.
Games can be played against another human player, an AI opponent or over a
network. It is entirely keyboard controlled with two sets of action keys, one
for each player – both can be customised.
The teams come from nine countries ‘International’; Argentina; England;
France; Germany; Italy; Scotland; Spain; Switzerland and USA. There are two
modes of play, Competition and Friendly. In Competition mode the player
selects a country and then plays either a league game or a knockout cup game
against teams from that country with two exceptions – International only
offers a World Cup competition and USA only offers a League competition.
None of the teams here are officially licensed so instead of the English teams
Manchester City and Manchester United the game has Manchester Blues and
Manchester Reds. The same ‘close but not quite real’ approach applies to
player names too, for example in 2006 Manchester United had a player called
‘Cristiano Ronaldo’ whereas in this game Manchester Reds have a player called
‘Cristiano Rinaldi’. However all team names and player names can be edited so
the correct names can be entered if the player(s) have the time to do so.
The games are viewed from an overhead point of view and the player can zoom
in/out to a limited degree with the F3 & F4 buttons. The player can alter team
formations and edit player skills and appearance. When playing the game there
is also an option to bend the ball in-flight.
