## Description
_Hangyaku no Apsalar_ is a sequel to Maboroshi no Lorelei, but the gameplay
and graphics style are completely different. While the first Dracula Detective
game uses 3D pre-rendered graphics and plays as an interactive movie, this
sequel uses 2D graphics, anime art, and one progresses by reading through the
dialogues (of which not all are voice-acted) in a similar manner to visual
novels.
The story takes place in the 23rd century where people can freely use time
travel to go back to the past. But altering the past or smuggling long lost
things back to the present can yield serious consequences, and for that
purpose a special police task force has been created to enforce the law and
protect the present timeline from criminals trying to alter or affect it in
any way. The protagonist of the story is Raizou Narukami (鳴神 雷蔵), also known
as Dracula Detective due to being a descendant of the legendary vampire
Dracula from Transylvania. Those very genes give him certain special powers
and help him in his task as a detective, no matter how difficult the cases
that are waiting.
