## About This Game
## Nuclear-Powered Multiplayer Space Combat
At its core In The Black is an intense multiplayer team-based online space
combat simulator with a laser-like focus on the combat and a serious respect
for science. This earned the Atomic Rocket’s Seal of Approval.

Set in our own solar system 200 years in the future, players are private
military contractors (mercenaries) hired by the megacorporations to fight
their covert wars for control of the system’s resources.

The Impeller Studios team is led by industry veterans Jack Mamais (
MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries , Far Cry , and Crysis ) and David Wessman
(the X-Wing / TIE Fighter series, Blood Wake , and Saints Row ).

We’re all hardcore gamers ourselves. We believe games should be skill-based
and intrinsically rewarding. And we really like the idea of flying nuclear-
powered rockets through the rings of Saturn to engage in explosive high tech
mayhem!
