Hollow is a new game of fathers such as Casanova, Hitchcock: The Final Cut and Jerusalem: The Holy City. The program represents the FPS genre, and its creators decided to take the best elements from Doom III, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and Halo: Combat Evolved. The authors presented us with an alternative vision of the planet Earth from the second half of the 20th century (mankind did not experience World War II in the past). The action was placed in a hypothetical country Centrope (Central Europe), whose socio-political system can be characterized as disco-totalitarian.
The user directs (the course of events was shown from the perspective of the first person) the actions of Tyler Kilmore – a former American journalist, returning to his fiancee after five years of separation. However, the hero is wrongly accused of murdering the said woman, so he must clear himself of the charges by going to Hell itself and finding his beloved (by the way, heros discovers the great and carefully guarded secret of civilization).
* More than twenty episodes of storyline, set in four different environments (a total of nearly thirty hours of fun).
* A rich arsenal of munitions (e.g. weapon depriving the opponent of bones) and additional accessories (climbing kit, remote-controlled machines, etc.).
* Around a quarter of a hundred different characters and a non-linear scenario.
* Extended multiplayer mode (deathmatch, Capture the Flag, three different teams in team competition, etc.).
* Detailed visual setting, rendered by advanced “engine” Xubl.
