## Description

_Guarda Castelos Upgrade_ is a remake of Guarda Castelos. It’s a simple
fantasy _shoot ’em up_ where you have to defend a castle wall against
attacking orcs. Enemies move down at a straight line, attacking in their path.
The orcs cannot harm you, but they will gradually break down the wall. If any
enemy passes through a broken part of the wall and reaches the bottom of the
screen it’s game over. Over time tougher enemies will appear, going through
armored orcs which take two hits, quick mages who attack from range, orcs
carrying bombs and finally red mages who attack with a spread shot that can
quickly damage large large parts of the castle wall.

Your ammo is limited, but refills periodically spawn at the edges of the
screen that you have to hurry to pick up. Magic orbs also spawn, which will
charge your next few shots with magic making them not only kill any enemy
instantly but also go through any enemies in their path.

There are two game modes: “Normal” has a finite number of enemies and can be
cleared, while “Nightmare” is endless. After clearing the normal mode or
losing the game will record your high score.
