## Description
_Engulf_ is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from
this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different
game compilation packages.
_Engulf_ is a single-player, strategy game that is played against the
computer where the object is to end the game with the most pieces on the
board. The game is played in a 7 x 7 grid and the players each start with two
pieces each placed in opposing corners. There are thirty-five different boards
each with a different arrangement of squares the players can / cannot move
into. Only two moves are allowed, moving a piece one square will replicate
that piece leaving the player with two pieces where they previously had one.
Moving a piece two squares is a jump, this move does not replicate the players
piece.
Whenever a piece is moved next to an opponents piece that piece, or pieces,
are captured. The game ends whenever a player has no pieces remaining or no
legal moves remaining and the player with the most pieces at that time wins.
The game is entirely mouse controlled. It is played in a window which cannot
be re-sized. The game has sound, four levels of difficulty, in-game help
screens, and a choice of playing piece, colour and screen background. This
game has a help facility, when a piece is being dragged to a new position it
can optionally display an animation while it hovers over squares that can
legally be moved to.
