Drifters is a dynamic free to play shooter from Blind Squirrels Entertainment taking place in space. This is the first independent game of the studio, but it was already known in the ports for games like BioShock Collection or Prey. Drifters is a hero shooter, a shooter strongly focused on characteristic characters with unique abilities.
### Plot
Drifters gives the player the opportunity to play the role of a murky character who went into space to look for profit – not necessarily legal. Together with other types of dark stars, we carry out missions commissioned by the owner of a local bar – but remember that we are not the only ones looking for an easy income, and the competition is merciless.
### Mechanics
Drifters is a dynamic shooter that bases its gameplay on players’ agility and quick response to sudden changes on the battlefield. Creators, however, give players tools to help them find their way in the dynamic world of Drifters – a jetpack and a hook link. The line allows you to instantly reduce the distance between enemies, and also allows you to move faster. Jetpack gives additional dynamism to our moves and at a critical moment allows us to jump away or reduce the distance between the player and the opponent.
The weapon in Drifters is based on different variants of the same weapon, but in the end it is supposed to deal the same amount of damage. It’s up to us and our style of play whether we prefer a shotgun that has a wider range of impact or one that shoots faster and a little less.
There is a choice of 8 heroes available, which fit into standard classes known from this type of production – tank, healer, support, etc. It is the task of the players to use the skills unique to each character in order to ensure the victory of our team.
### Game modes
Drifters is a multiplayer game for 10 players divided into two 5-person teams. In the game is available 5 modes that can be described as variations: deathmatch, capture the flag and king of the hill.
### Technical aspects
Attention should be paid to the comic book and climate design, to which Vault Comics has contributed.
