Dr. Seuss Band
Dr. Seuss Band is a music simulation game similar in style and gameplay to
Guitar Hero. The player gets to pick from 10 different songs (all Dr. Seuss of
course), and which instrument to play it with. There are five different “base”
instruments to pick from, but added to that are added attachments which all
add different special effects to the sound. There are two main game modes.
Either the songs are played that are in the game, or there’s a Free Play mode
where the player can compose his/her own songs by playing live.
As the song plays, the player has to tap or hold the corresponding buttons at
the bottom of the screen to match the colored lines (notes) scrolling down in
time with the music. Depending on the difficulty, there can be up to three
full sets of buttons (low notes, normal and high notes) which needs to be
swapped on the fly as the song is playing. At the end of the song the player
is rewarded a score depending on how many notes were hit and how accurately
they were timed to the music.
The 10 songs featured in the game are:
* Dr. Seuss’s ABC
* The Cat In The Hat
* There’s a Wocket in my Pocket!
* Green Eggs And Ham
* Hop On Pop
* Horton Hears A Who
* Oh Say Can You Say?
* Oh, The Places You’ll Go
* The Bippolo Seed
* The Cat In The Hat Comes Back
Some of the songs are locked at first, but can be unlocked if certain scores
are met in the songs. Getting high scores may also unlock new difficulties and
instrument parts.
