Deluxe PocMon is an update on the Amiga shareware game Deluxe PacMan ,
itself a much-extended clone of the original Pacman. It retains the Amiga
version’s colourful shaded graphics (but now in 32-bit colour) and 3D level
transitions (but now in accelerated OpenGL 3D) and various powerups and
weapons, but adds new bonuses, online scoring and a four-player mode which
plays like a cross between Pacman and Bomberman , where the players can
shoot at each other and drop bombs, ice or glue for others to walk into.
Another major addition is the energy bar, so that you don’t play with the
three lives of other Pacman clones, but with a set amount of energy that is
depleted on contact with ghosts and traps.
