Deep Within is a story-driven first person exploration and puzzle game. With elements of random generation and your own personal choice throughout the game, you will never play the exact same game twice*.
The idea of Deep Within came from the idea of changing how a game can be played each time you play, and that your choice may lead you to a completely different area of the game. With areas generating random segments and sections, we wanted to develop areas which can, and will change each time you play through. Some areas are designed purely to engross the player in the dark and eerie world.
The whole game is being developed in Unity, with assets being created in various other applications such as Blender and Maya from multiple sources. We are a small team and our knowledge base is focused on the Unity engine, which is why it was chosen over other engines such as Unreal.
Other people working on voice work will be using a variety of recording equipment to bring their creation to life. The end result is brought together by the power of Unity.
As with most story-driven games, Deep Within has a story which will engross the player one different emotional levels. Unfortunately, we can’t reveal the story too much at this point.
Due to the game being heavily story driven, and your choices throughout the game, the story can morph. There is still a complete backstory which will prove to be deep and emotional at some points, but your choice truly creates your own story.
