Dachinko
Dachinko is an arcade game based on pachinko, where the main objective is
to drop several metal spheres from the top of a board filled with pegs and
other obstacles, making them rebound around the field and hopefully land
inside a series of containers that give bonus points and extra balls. The
player controls the initial launch speed with a lever at the bottom-right
corner of the screen, shooting only a limited amount of spheres at a time.
The goal of each level is to gather a specific number of extra balls, by
landing the spheres inside the green pot as much as possible. Hitting the blue
pot gives points, while filling the yellow pot decreases the pressure build-up
by missing shots. When the pressure is too high, the player starts to
gradually lose some of the accumulated bonus points. New features start to
appear on later levels, like revolving gears, bamboo pipelines, moving
platforms and objects.
Parcels and power-ups randomly appear on the field, being activated when hit
by one of the falling orbs. The packages give points, while the power-ups
change the game behavior for a few seconds inverting gravity, transforming the
balls into rubber and guiding them to the nearest pot. A mini-game appears on
certain levels, where a mining cart has to moved sideways to catch falling
spheres and recover some of the orbs.
