Cannon Strike is a strategy game set during World War II. In two campaigns
(overall 16 missions) the player takes either the role of the Russian troops
which have to save scientist at the Eastern front or the American/Britain army
which searches for a secret chemical plant in the Normandy.

There is no base building and the goals are mostly to conquer a certain point
respectively to defend one. The missions alternate between an “action” and a
“strategy” mode. In the former the player directly controls one tank, rolls
over hostile infantry, avoids enemy tanks and drives from point A to B. The
strategy mode is practically the same just with more troops and indirect
controls.

The player receives experience points for achieved goals which in turn make
his units stronger. This has no practical effect because surviving units don’t
carry over to the next mission.
