In Awoken: The Beginning, players will take on the role of Alan Mason, a
mentally scarred war veteran. After suffering a severe mental breakdown, Alan
spent a few years in a mental health facility, trying to find his way back to
reality while also trying to piece together his broken memory. He has nothing
left but his little sisters, who have now been missing for over 2 years. They
abruptly stopped visiting right after his father took a new job at a small
private hospital upstate. After months of searching, Alan finds himself
standing before the gaping maw of Mount Moira Hospital. Alan will plunge into
the depths of Mount Moira, he will have to fight his way through a repugnant
world to find out what happened to his family.

Will Alan be able to differentiate between what is real and what is not? Come
face to face with the buried horrors that roam the crumbling halls of the
facility and its haunted grounds. Players will have the ability to fight off
the creatures and former patients of Mount Moira, but supplies and weapons
will be limited, so strategy will be key. The players will witness the lengths
of depravity that the former doctors were willing to go to get results in
their demented pursuits. Players will also have to piece together cryptic
puzzles while fighting to survive in a horror infested world. Fight when you
can, run and hide when there is no other option. Players will have interactive
items to find along the way to help them survive and a number of clues and
evidence to figure out the mysteries of Mount Moira Hospital.

As you dive into the world of Awoken, you will enter the personal hell of a
girl named Rylie, who wakes up with no recollection of who she is or how she
wound up in Mount Moira Hospital. As you try to unravel the mysteries of the
defunct and labyrinthian hospital, you will have to face the corporeal and
psychological horrors that lurk in the shadows of Mount Moira. While making
your way throughout the grounds of Mount Moira, you will have to piece
together the puzzle of Rylie’s past and figure out what links her to this
nightmarish realm. There are a plethora of creatures, from the lowly and
broken-minded former patients to the beastly creations waiting to chase you
down and rip you from limb to limb. Help Rylie wake up the sleeping past and
make it out of the hell that is Mount Moira Hospital in AWOKEN. In Rylie’s
story, the gameplay will change to a more survival horror, where hiding and
strategizing will be key. Taking away the ability to fight back against the
horrors of Mount Moira, players will be fully immersed in the helplessness
that Rylie feels in the final version of AWOKEN.
