## Description
_4 Degrees: The Arc of Trivia – Volume 1_ is an adaptation of the Game Wave
title 4 Degrees: The Arc of Trivia for smartphones. It is a trivia quiz game
that can be played solo against computer opponents or against online players
powered by the social gaming technology of J2Play.
Players take on opponents in a series of questions from six categories: Arts &
Words & Song, Lifestyle & People, News & Events, Sports & Games, Movies &
Television, and Nature & Mankind. Just like the original game, one player get
to throw a die before the questions start to double, triple, or halve the
possible score. In solo the die is always for the human player. In multiplayer
it is switched around between the human players. Each question comes with four
possible answers. As soon as the question is read, the clock starts ticking
down from 50. By answering quickly, more points can be earned. The title
refers to the four clues that are provided as time counts down. Clues make it
easier to choose the right answer, but less time on the clock leads to less
points. After all players have answered, the correct answer and the scoreboard
is shown. Players receive a negative score for selecting a wrong answer, so it
is sometimes better to let the clock count down.
Unlike the original game with two questions per category, there is only one
question for this version – making it a six-round game instead of a twelve-
round game. It also does not have the mid-game Arc of Time mini-game where
players get to wager their points.
There is crossplatform multiplayer through Group Play, for the iPhone,
Blackberry and browser version.
