The first installer ship has left Earth in the hope of finding another habitable planet, they have; 186f. Unfortunately, landing proved… difficult, that’s to say, a crash, with just three survivors. Take control of the Doctor, Scientist and Soldier as they battle the native wildlife and collect resources to get them back on planet Earth.
### Gameplay:
186f is a top down (2d) survival game, you have the ability to control/switch between three different characters with the numbers 1, 2 and 3. Movement is with the WASD keys, the screen pans to follow whatever character you have selected, switching between characters will pan to the newly switch character if they are not already in view. The ‘e’ key is used to access character specific functions, such as the crafting menu for the scientist. It is also used to gather a resource if standing close enough to the resource. If the soldier character is selected, the mouse can be used to aim and shoot at enemies (preferable) other characters (friendly fire) or the soldier himself. (suicide) Remember, all bullets kill, even your own, don’t do it. In the full release, there will be an option to customize the controls.
### **Background Information:**
**Naming** : Kepler-186f is a real, potentially habitable planet found by the Kepler telescope. It is ~492ly away from Earth.
**Compatibility** : 186f is programmed in python2, using the pygame library. It is compatible with any system python is compatible with. Python2 and pygame will need to be installed to running the game’s scripts. Although resolution should be adjustable, I wouldn’t recommend anything lower then 720p. I have been testing the game at 1080 but if you have higher (or lower, to a point) it should reposition objects to match your resolution.
