## Description

As the name suggests, this edition of _MandrakeLinux Standard Edition 8.1_ was
specifically targeted for gamers: apart from the usual games included in Linux
distributions such as the KDE and Gnome game compilations, this edition also
includes the Linux version of The Sims. Additionally, a code for a 3-month
subscription to Transgaming’s WineX technology – which was also used to “port”
_The Sims_ to Linux – was included in the package, enabling gamers to play
some of their Windows games on Linux.

This package was initially the only possibility to get the Linux version of
_The Sims_ (until Transgaming sold the disc and manuals as an “On Its Own”
version themselves later).
