QuestAdore is a game-app for smartphones, offering a playful way to explore a new place by figuring out and following clues to specific locations in a Quest.
It's a Quest-game with endless possibilities;
Gamified tourism: In guided tour Quests the clues to the locations are simple to follow and the player receives a lot of information about each location. Tourist guiding and riddle-game in one!
Team challenges: Invite your friends, family and colleagues to compete in a tricky theme Quest where the clues are riddle-like, and might require detailed knowledge about the specific topics or the area to be solved. Perfect for team events!
Physical exercise with intellectual challenge: Why not make or play a Physical Quest where the locations in the quest are far apart or physically challenging to reach. Perfect for sports clubs or associations!
Digital education tool: Make it more fun for school children to learn the history of a city by letting them compete in teams on who solves the Quest with the highest score!
Players are offered to play Quests available in their area from a list. To start the Quest the player has to go to the starting point of the Quest. Once there, the player receives clues that will lead to the next location in the Quest. The player should try to figure out what is the location and then go there physically. The app recognizes when the player has found the right location and then displays content related to the location. The player scores credits and gets the clues to the next location in the Quest. The fewer clues needed to find the right location, the higher score.
Anyone can play available Quests, but to create a Quest you have to register as a QuestCreator. QuestCreators can use QuestAdore as a marketing channel or as a commercial platform by charging players for access to the Quests via password.
