## Description

The residents of NumberShire are up to their ears in problems…math problems, that is! To solve them, they need a new apprentice to come to town and master math skills aligned to state and national standards. Designed for kindergarten through second grade students, NumberShire is an enchanted land filled with lovable characters, hilarious adventures, fun mini-games and cool rewards.

With a curriculum designed by educational experts from the University of Oregon, NumberShire is supported by rigorous research that has shown it can significantly improve children's mathematics learning. Built using academic best practices and a unique story-driven approach, NumberShire emphasizes deep learning with over 12 hours of carefully designed educational content.

In an 8-week pilot study in 26 first grade classrooms, NumberShire significantly improved students' mathematics learning. Using rigorous research methods supported by the U.S. Department of Education's What Works Clearinghouse, the pilot study found that students who played NumberShire performed better than control students on assessments of critical skills addressed in the Common Core State Standards.

This version is designed for play at home or on-the-go. A separate class edition is also available with a teacher dashboard feature.
