Soap opera scenes are fun because the plots are absurd and the performances are over the top! In your scene, you may find yourself suffering amnesia, confronting an evil twin, or running a billion-dollar business.

It's an adventure in improv. Improv is acting without a script. The main goal is laughter! No acting experience is needed!

The goal is to act out a short, humorous soap opera scene between two characters. We'll give you a plot idea. You'll add the problems and twists to make the scene interesting!

FUN WITH IMPROV:
Improv can spark the imagination. It's storytelling based on a premise that the game provides. Players can take a moment to think about their characters and the imaginary setting. A scene unfolds as each player offers ideas to build the plot. Players build an interesting plot by adding problems and twists. Humor can be found by exploring the unusual or exaggerated aspects of people, places, or things.

Each age group brings their own level of background knowledge and experience to the game. Experienced players can encourage newer players.

THE GAME IS FLEXIBLE:
This is a short-form improv game. Most Hollywood Groove games are designed to be played in pairs. Yet, the games can be modified to suit larger groups, or even single players. Larger groups work together on the same game premise. Single players develop a monologue scene for a game premise. The games can allow players to plan scenes in advance to aid beginners.
